This fine champagne has been produced from the three grape varieties : Chardonnay for elegance, Pinot Noir for structure and Pinot Meunier for fruit. Full of generous fruit flavours it will enhance any celebration.
History
The Chanoine house was founded in 1730, making it the second oldest of the famous Champagne houses. Now based in the most modern of cellars on the outskirts of Reims, Chanoine is one of the leading Champagne houses in terms of quality and size.
Regional Information
The Chanoine Group, by virtue of its size, has access to a wide range of grapes from all over the Champagne region. This diversity of supply makes for well balanced and complex champagnes.
Vinification Details
Pressing is done in 4000kg or 8000kg presses, and after an initial settling of the must, fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures. Keeping the temperature around 20 degrees of less helps retain freshness and aroma, which is an important consideration for Champagne.
