Hardys puts a lot of love into its Bankside range, which is inspired by the original cellars that Thomas Hardy built on the banks of Torrens River back in 1853. You can really taste the passion in this delicious Shiraz, packed with an intense mix of blackcurrant, ripe berry and bramble flavours, with a hint of spicy oak on the finish.

Sit down on your sofa and relax as you let its juicy, smoky, fruity flavours fill your mouth. This wine will also give your dinner party a real x-factor if you serve it with a great steak, bangers and mash or a really top-quality burger.

History
In 1853 Thomas Hardy bought a large block of land alongside the banks of the Torrens River, it was here that he built Hardys Bankside Cellars. Sadly the cellars were destroyed by fire in 1905 and this wine is a tribute to these first cellars.
Regional Information
The grapes for this wine were sourced from both the warm climate of the Riverland/Murray Darling areas and central regions of South Australia. Using our extensive viticultural and winemaking resources we have grown grapes and then blended parcels of wine to produce this Shiraz that shows complexity and a rich flavour profile.

Well established Brand. Good Value

Hardys wine are always fairly good. We liked the Shiraz full of flavour and good value for money especially when on offer.

lovely when on offer

Really nice smooth wine. Always get this when on offer. I wouldn't pay full price though - you can get equally nice wines cheaper.

BITTER!

It's described as 9 smooth but my bottle is bitter and horrid, I couldn't finish one glass of it. It's really bitter and tastes horrible, not like the description at all. I don't know if my bottle is off or is it supposed to be like this?
