Best brown sauce ever - put it back on the shelves on Hertfordshire please

Great Sauce

After a lifetime of HP (used to be made in Birmingham) I tried this and really liked it. It's a pity it says "Hammonds of Yorkshire" as after many takeovers it is now made in Lancashire!

Hammonds Sauce

Great sauce, bonus is it is made in England. Unlike HP sauce which is made in the Netherlands. HP sauce has the picture of the Houses of Parliament on the label which is deceptive.

The best ever.

The best ever brown sauce, the only one we buy in this house.

OK, but a missing something

Thought I'd try this based on all the positive reviews. For me however, having not grown up with it, as some reviewers seem to have done, this was just OK. It tastes more like generic greasy-spoon-trailer brown sauce it is missing the distinct tang of HP which I think may be the tamarind in that sauce, which is missing here. In short, OK but won't buy again, back to HP next time.

Great sauce and made in UK

Love this but its quite hard to get hold of now. Unlike some brands who have started using low grade sweeteners such as glucose or fructose syrup this one still uses traditional ingredients. I also like that it made in the UK. Well done Morrisons.
