Drambuie is a Scottish honeyed whisky liqueur, which mellows aged Scotch with soft spices, fragrant herbs and heavenly real Scottish heather honey. This legendary liqueur can be enjoyed in any manner of ways, rich enough to be savoured on its own, neat or on the rocks and its enchanting aromas of butterscotch and shortbread work wonderfully with coffee or paired with a delectable dessert.

By way of thanks he gifted them the only possession he had left, the recipe to his personal elixir. They called it Drambuie, after the Gaelic'An Dram Buidheach' which means The drink that satisfies.

Drambuie Iced Espresso:
Serve 50ml (3 Tbsp) Drambuie with lots of ice in a glass tumbler, once cooled, pour over a double espresso or equal amount of strong black coffee. Ready-to-drink iced coffees work just as well and are no fuss at all.
If you like your coffee Latte or a longer drink, just add milk. Dairy-free? No problem, this serve is unbelievably delicious using Coconut milk and other dairy-free milk alternatives.

For a showstopping after dinner coffee, and a tasty alternative to an Irish coffee why not offer your guests a British version, an Isle of Skye liqueur coffee infused with Drambuie. Brew some piping hot coffee and pour in a glass, stir in 50ml (3 Tbsp) of Drambuie honey whisky liqueur and then float some thick cream on top. For a final flourish you can drizzle a little honey on top.
Top Tip: To get the cream to float: 1. Ensure the coffee is very, very hot, 2. The cream is very, very cold, 3. Pour double cream or whipping cream slowly on the back of a teaspoon for it to float on top of your coffee. Showstopper!

Great option to finish off dinner party
As summer season is upon us and we finally can get together with friends and family - it was time to plan a dinner party! I must admit, it's been ages since I had few people around my dinner table and was about out of practice. After a great meal and few drinks I decided to try something different and serve liqueur after the dessert. Drambuie did stand out on the shelf. I tried it few years ago and remember being very warming, a bit sweet and exceptionally drinkable. It was a hit as few of my friends never tried it before! Really a great drink to share with friends or have on your own at the end of the evening
