A bad cook always blame the ingredients.
I have now purchased more than 20 of these lamb joints and I have yet to experience a poor piece which was fatty or inedible, they have all cooked beautifully, but then again I am old enough to know how to cook a piece of lamb which needs to be cooked long and slow to get the best results.
Swiss lamb fat roll
Being generous with 1* rating. Glutinous layer of rubber fat running through this chewy lamb swiss roll. Bought for Sunday dinner with daughter on her birthday. Big let down. Will be requesting refund. Very poor reviews going back to last October so why is it still being sold ?
All fat
All the fat had been rolled in the middle to hide it, barely any edible meat.
good flavour but needs longer cooking
Enough meat for 4 however it requires longer cooking to ensure is soft and tender not a cut that is served pink as too chewy. Yes would buy again
OMG
I am ancient, well pretty old and don't often buy lamb, but most people say I'm a pretty decent cook. But this was by a mile the best piece of lamb I have ever eaten. Absolutely delicious, can't believe it only has 2 stars unless I was very lucky!
Lamb fat with 20% meat
So disappointed with this lamb joint; looked lovely smelt delicious, but on carving it was 80% fat, so the dogs were happy unlike the rest of us!
