Product information
More about this product;
In 1959, two local winemakers, Beristain and Ortigüela, made the first vintage of Campo Viejo Rioja. Fast forward to 1987 and Campo Viejo picked up their first international gold medal for their Gran Reserva. Today, winemaker Elena Adell is an expert in Rioja wines. Tempranillo is known as the Rioja region's signature grape and Elena says she loves the way it can create such a diverse range of wines. For this Rioja Reserva, she blends the best Tempranillos from three regions of Rioja with Graciano and Mazuelo grapes giving a blast of red berry fruitiness with a warm hint of cinnamon. It's been aged in barrels for 18 months and there's a whisper of spicy oak too. The perfect bottle to share with friends.

Taste of Spain
This is a popular buy and with good reason. Unless you are a real wine buff you won't taste much difference between this and others at twice the price. and when on offer it's even better value. Stock up when it's on discount if you have the iron will needed to resist opening another bottle.
Easy drinking Rioja.
Very mild flavours of fruit and spice. Not the most refined but very good value for money, specially when on offer.
Nothing better
The best red wine I've ever tasted
2013 Is another good year
This wine (as they all do) varies from year to year, 2009 is excellent and it's been difficult to find anything to match. This was 2013 and a really good bottle.
best Rioja I've ever tasted
There is a splendidly smooth richness to this Rioja, it's absolutely lovely.. We usually have the Tempranillo by Campo Viejo which we love, but this one is extra special..
