Cooking Guidelines

Oven cook - From Defrost. Not suitable for cooking from frozen
1 Place defrosted turkey in a roasting tin and allow to stand at room temperature for an hour before cooking
2 Cover turkey loosely with lightly greased foil
3 Cook turkey in a preheated oven, removing the foil after 60 minutes
4 Remove from oven, cover with foil and rest for 30 minutes before carving
Preheat oven to:
190°C/170°C Fan/Gas mark 5
Refer to Weight on Front of pack Weight (Kg): Less than 4kg, Approximate Cook Time: 20 minutes per kg + 70 minutes
Check that the turkey crown is cooked by piercing the thickest part of the crown with a skewer. When the turkey is cooked the juices should run clear. Please note all appliances vary, these are guidelines only and the crown should be checked during cooking to avoid under or over cooking.

Preparation And Usage

Cooking appliances vary. These instructions are given as a guide. Please ensure that the product is piping hot throughout before serving. Do not reheat. Not suitable for cooking from frozen or microwave cooking. Ensure product is thoroughly cooked, juices run clear and that no pink colour remains.
180°C, Fan 160°C, Gas 4, 20 min per kilo +95 min
Pre-heat your oven as shown. Remove all packaging. Place crown into a roasting tin, rub the skin of crown with oil or butter (optional) and cover loosely with foil. Place roasting tin in the centre of the oven. Cook for 20 minutes per kilo plus 95 minutes. After 1 hour remove foil, return to the oven, and continue cooking. Baste turkey crown occasionally during cooking process (typically 2-4 times depending on the size). After cooking time, cover with kitchen foil and allow to rest in a warm place for 30 minutes before carving. Always check that the product is cooked throughout, and juices run clear with no pink colour remaining.
